STORIES

Preservation

Preserve your memories, keep them well, what you forget you can never retell.

— Louisa May Alcott

Lune sat derelict for almost 10 years. Vines moved in and completely took over. The history of this two-story Italian villa was almost replaced but thankfully, never completely lost.

It was this more obscure history of the house that inspired us to evoke this idea of preservation in the custom interior design of our two lounges; preserving the art, the furniture and memories that may have been left behind in the hopes of an eventual return.

In collaboration with Toronto-based firm, Studio Author; draped furniture, wrapped artwork and hidden sculptures highlight this precious quiescence, when the history of this abode was almost lost forever.

Inspired by this passage, that naturally the house succumbed to, standing mirrors emulating fragments of broken glass are delicately reimagined.

Today, Lune hopes to offer a glimpse of this history to all that gather here and in turn fill it with new memories and new moments that will be preserved beautifully for years to come.

Come over soon.
